TOPIC #1:  Asterisk/Elastix dialer

A basic dialer - how to set one up. We'll look at what is needed to create a dialer using a basic dial plan, and file. After you see how it is done, the rest is just your creativity writing a dial plan, and scripting in AGI.

Here are a couple dialer links if you want to get familiar...

TOPIC #2:  SMS
Well take a look at create an SMS gateway using a cell phone, or GSM Modem, MySQL, and Gammu.  Will show how easy it is to set this up.   This is also a way with AGI Scripting to send an SMS message with asterisk.

June Meeting

JUNE MEETING
Lee from Freeway will be giving us each a free CD with the Freeway IP PBX.  As you may recall, at previous meetings we discussed a software PBX distro complete with OS, PBX, and GUI that is similar to Asterisk/Elastix/Trixbox, but is built on Yate.  Yate is more powerful and robust than Asterisk, and can easily interconnect/trunk with an Asterisk based system.  We will be doing more with this in the future.

We will also work on our project.  We'll check out some new stuff so bring your laptop with your installation of Elastix.

See you there.  AUG Admin.
